John Cox
Mr. Cox grew up in Clayton County. He attended West Clayton Elementary, Jonesboro Jr. High, and Jonesboro Sr. High. He attended Georgia Tech and earned a B.E. and M.S. in chemical engineering. He has been teaching since 2002. He has taught algebra, algebra II, physics, AP physics, physical science, chemistry, and AP chemistry.
He believes that:“Technology is the technical means people use to improve their surrounding” (Wright & Smith, 1987). The content we teach in our classrooms will have a lasting impact on our students as they enter the world before them. Technology Education provides students with the understanding and determination to help improve our surroundings in technologically savvy ways while understanding the impacts that engineers and designers of the past may not have thought about.
